So often we have a relationship with ourselves by identifying solely with what it is that we do. We don't develop past the concept "What I do is who I am."
We tend to stay in this tight cocoon of our identity, when in fact, we really know that it's false. Only until something happens, some major huge event in your life, the kind that shakes you to your very roots, do you realize that what you do is in fact only providing, and fulfilling life's obligations and responsibilities.
Your identity is with your soul... and not societal expectations, or parental fantasies. You came here with a divine contract. You came here for a reason.
